21. Good-bye, Butterflee The season for love for Butterflees, butterfly-type monsters, has come.
Satoshi's Butterflee sees a cute pink Butterflee and proposes to her, but she
ignorss him. Butterflee is disappointed. The Rocket gang appears then, and
catches all the butterflees in the area, except Satoshi's one. With the help of
Satoshi and his friends, he fights the gang, taking the pink Butterflee back. She
is moved by his faith and bravery, and decides to accept his proposal. Butterflee
leaves Satoshi and sets out on a journey with her.

22. Kacy and the ESP Satoshi and Pikachu challenge Natsume, a cool girl always with a doll in her arms,
and her monster Kacy, at the Yamabuki gym. Kacy excerts the ESP, as his owner does.
Pikachu has no way to cope with it, and loses the match. Natsume's ability is blood
curdling-high, transforming Satoshi and his friends into dolls. A middle-aged man, who
Natsume's father, saves them. He then tells Satoshi that he is required to get a
ghost-type monster that is equal to the ability of Kacy, that now has transformed
into Yunghelor.

23. Getting a Ghost Monster Three ghost-type monsters at shion town are alone, having no visiters to talk
with them. They play different tricks on them as Satoshi and Pikachu enter their
den. They are frightened first, but find soon they are solitary. Satoshi gives up
to get any one of them, and leaves them. However, Ghost, a member from them,
follows Satoshi.

24. Ghost Vs Yunghelor Encouraged by the new friendship with Ghost, Satoshi visits Yamabuki gym again,
now with Ghost. However, he disappears as the match is starting. Satoshi and his
monsters successfully escape, while Kasumi and Takeshi fail and have her transform
into dolls. Satoshi finds Ghost on a street soon later and goes back to the gym
with him. But he is fickle. He is gone from the gym again when the battle is
starting. Natsume tries to transform Satoshi into a doll, as Pikachu sheilds him.
He decides to fight Yunghelor, to save his friend. Ghost suddenly appears, and
makes a joke on Natsume. Her straight-lined mouth curves into a smile, and she
begins to laugh. The ESP has made her emotionless, but now her mind opens.
Since Yunghelor's mind links to Natsume's, he laughes to roll on the floor, disable
to fight. So Satoshi can get the budge.

25. Okorizaru is always angry Mankey, a monkey-type monster, they see on the way to Tamamushi city. He likes
Satoshi's cap, and snatches it away from Satoshi. Satoshi tries to get it back, but
Mankey is brutal when he is angry. After a skirmish, he transforms into Okorizaru,
and Satoshi doesn't know what to do except for escape. Okorizaru is usually angry,
and rushes after Satoshi and Pikachu. Finally Satoshi decides to fight and get him.

26. Erika and Kusaihana The Tamamushi city gym's trainer is a cute girl Erika. Her monster Kusaihana, a
weed-type monster, shoot a stinking smell when he sense danger. In the middle of
the battle with them, Satoshi find the Rocket gang sets fire to the gym. All the
people in it fight the fire, while Pikachu helps them, carrying a watering pot,
too big for his maple-like hands. When they get the fire under control, Erika
thanks Satoshi who saved Kusaihana from the burning gym, and gift him with the
budge.

27. Innocent Hypnotism Dozens of kids are lost in Yoyoyo town. They find the hypnotism of the sleeper, a
tapir-like monster, has innocently caused the condision with his hypnotic beam
spreading through the town. It acts on kids and they believe they are pokemons,
spending in a forest.

28. Rocon and an Excellent Breeder Being a pokemon breeder, Takeshi wants to study under Yuki, an excellent breeder
in the Scissor street. She is really skillful in appealing monsters' charms they
originally have. However, she hopes she will get improved, and decides to start on
a journey, trusting her monster Rocon, a fox-type monster, to Takeshi.

29. The P1 Grand Prix After leaving the Scissor street, they learned about the Pokemon No.1 Grand Prix,
and Satoshi and Okorizaru take the field. The previous year's winner is Ebiwalor,
trained by Anoki. The Rocket gang also competes, in hopes of taking the gold
Champion belt. Their Sawamulor and Okorizaru reach the finals. But Okorizaru is
strong, and Nyase works out a plan, that he sets a bomb under the ring. Pikachu
finds him sneaking out under the ring, and takes the bomb off. Okorizaru can win the
title.

30. A Coil Being in Love with
an Electric Mouse
Pikachu gets sick as they arrive at Dungeon city. His friends take him to the
pokemon center. A power failure occurs through the city suddenly, and Dr. Joy
cannot treat monsters in the center. Satoshi and his friends, including Pikachu,
rush to the power station, learning Betbeters gathering at the exit of the drain
caused the conditions. And one more problem. Coil, a electric monster, tails
Pikachu. He seems to like Pikachu, while Pikachu is annoyed. After a while,
Betbeters enter the station. Pikachu, in spite of his illness, fights them with the
help of Coil and his company, and drives them back. Then Pikachu recovers. His
friends find that he gets sick when he takes an excessive charge. Coil seems to
have liked it.

31. Digders,
Soil-Boring monster
People in a construction site for a dum are annoyed by disturbance of Digders,
and Satoshi and his friends and other dozens of trainters decides to help them.
But building a dum means destroying the nature, the forest Digders have made.
Monsters realize that, and reject to response to their trainers' calls. Finally
Digders succeed telling that to Human beings.

32. Ninjas at the Sekichiku gym The trainer of the Sekichiku gym Kyou is a Ninja. In spite of disturbance of
the Rocket gang, Satoshi fights him hard, and can get the budge.

33. Pokemon Race The season for a hard Pokemon Race has come. Satoshi with Bonita, Kasumi with
Starmy, Takeshi with Iwake, and Pikachu with Zenigame(an extra pair), participate
in it. Although Bonita, a pony-type monster, is owned by Fuko, she got hurt, and
asked Satoshi to represent. The Rocket gang interrupts the course with different
ways, and Satoshi is almost tricked. But he fights his way through them, and can
win the title.
34. Garulas' Lullaby A Tarzan boy, lost in a forest at an early age, has been brough up by Garulas,
monsters with their kids in their pouches. His pleasure-living parents find him
after several years of searching their kid, and decide to stay with him in the forest.
35. The Legend of Miniryu The lake Miniryu, a dragon monster, live is what sheriff Kizer has protected.
The Rocket gang disturbed the peace to capture Miniryu, end up being driven out as usual.
36. Storming Road An untold fact of Musashi and Kojiro released in their hometown, that they head
a mob -- of bicycles. They obstruct the way of Satoshi and his friends, who head for the

Pockemon centers have a system to transmit monster balls to other centers, and it
seems out of order. Dr. Akihabara, who developed the system, sends Satoshi and his
friends forcively to the circuit. They find the Rocket gang having intruded there,
capturing monster balls, which caused the conditions. While they finght the gang,
an unexpected problem happens. Joy is afraid that the system went wrong, and orders
a security company to install a vaccine program. The program, in the form of a missile,
insistantly attacks Satoshi and his friends and the Rocket gang. Pikachu counters with
electric beams. And Polygon, a polygon monster, leads and saves them successfully.
39. Pikachu Forest
(We missed you, Pikachu!)
We missed you, Pikachu. Welcome back!
Pikachu is pleased other Pikachus herd in a forest. But they scatter in all
directions when Satoshi's Pikachu run close. He makes friends with humen, while they
are wild, scared of human scents from him. Only a baby Pikachu seems to like him. The
baby falls into the river after a while, and Pikachu saves him at all of his might.
Other Pikachus trust him, to Pikachu's big joy. But their peace are intruded by the
Rocket gang, who find the herd of Pikachu, and successfully capture it. Pikachus,
with the help of Satoshi, join hands and knock them over. Seeing Pikachu pleased with
his friends, Satoshi, wishing his happiness, decides to leave him. However, Pikachu
wants to be with him. Right, Pikachu?

40. Ivey and four brothers Ivey is a cute monster with bushy fur and beady eyes, one the most popular
monster in Japan. Satoshi and his friend find him left in a forest. Later they
lean that his trainer Taichi has concealed him in it from his elder brothers
whose Iveys evolved, hoping his will also transform to win battles. Kasumi advises
Taichi to give his brother his intention that he would not make his Ivey transform
because he likes Ivey as what he is. When the Rocket gang assailed while Taichi
hesitates to talk with his brothers, his Ivey fights hard, driving the gang away.
Encouraged by bravery, Taichi reveals his intention in his brothers' presence.
